Since version 3.1.11, it is now possible to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging users into the system. For greater security, we recommend that you consider using this feature. Let's go through the whole setup together.
In their profile detail, users can click on option Activate two level authentication:
System will guide them through the whole proccess:
1. Firstly, they will choose what application they wish to use:
2. Then the system will generate QR code that user can scan in the selected application:
3. After clicking on Validate button, user will be asked to insert code from the application:
4. That is all!
During next log in, user will be asked to insert the code:
Tip: Users can click on "Remember me on this device for 8h" and they will not need to insert the code again during their shift again.
2FA can also be demanded of specific users. To do this, you need to have active permission "System - Manage 2FA for other users". Person with proper user right can go via Settings→Users→Users list, choose selected user and check box Require 2FA at login:
