It is now possible in Hoteltime (version 4.6.13) to set up two-factor (2FA) authentication for user login to the system. We recommend to use this function for more security. Lets go over the setting process.
In their profile detail, users can click on option Activate two level authentication:
System will guide them through the whole proccess:
1. Firstly, they will choose what application they wish to use:
2. Then the system will generate QR code that user can scan in the selected application:
3. After clicking on Validate button, user will be asked to insert code from the application:
4. That is all!
During next log in, user will be asked to insert the code:
Tip: Users can click on Remember me on this device for 8h and they will not need to insert the code again during their shift again.
2FA can also be demanded of specific users. To do this, you need to have active permission "Manage 2FA for other users". Person with proper user right can go via Settings→Users→Users list, choose selected user and check box Require 2FA at login:
After next login, user will be asked to set up 2FA.
In the list of users, you can distinguish those who have 2FA set and you can also click on the 2FA icon to deactivate it:
