When using the 3-in-1 mobile waiter functionality, you'll spend most of your time working in the Vento app, which you access from the device's main screen. The app is set as default, so it launches automatically when the terminal is turned on and shows the login screen.
However, for certain advanced operations, such as:

 - Changing internet connection settings

 - Refunding a payment

 - Checking (printing) a summary of completed payments



you’ll need to use the payment terminal interface directly. 

These operations are password protected and require you to enter the access passwords that were defined when completing the initial 3-in-1 service questionnaire.
At the bottom of the terminal display, you’ll find several options:



1. Internet Connection Settings 


Adyen device comes with built-in mobile data connectivity, so Wi-Fi is not required for normal operation. If you prefer to use Wi-Fi, we recommend connecting to an internal network rather than a guest one.



To change the internet connection: 

  • Tap on Settings.

  • Go to Network, where you can:

    • Connect to a new Wi-Fi network

    • Or disable Wi-Fi and switch to mobile data



2. Payment refund


If you need to issue a refund to a guest:

  1. On the terminal’s main screen, tap Transactions.

  2. Go to the History section, where you’ll find a list of completed payments.

  3. Locate the specific transaction you want to refund.

  4. Open the transaction details and select Refund.



FYI: Refunds processed this way are not reflected in Vento. You’ll need to manually adjust the corresponding bill in the system.



3. Transaction Totals


To view the total amount of card payments:

  1. From the terminal’s main screen, tap Transactions.

  2. Go to the Totals section.

  3. You’ll see these options:

    • View the current total of all processed payments

    • View the last total (the most recent closed payment summary)

    • Create a new total, which resets the current one and starts a new cycle


If you didn’t choose automatic totals in the initial questionnaire, you’ll need to perform them manually — for example, at the end of a shift or day.




4. Manual Card Payment

In some cases, you may need to process a card payment directly on the terminal:

  1. On the main screen, tap Payment.

  2. Enter the amount and confirm the payment.

This transaction will not be recorded in Vento.For settling an account, we recommend using the pre-configured payment type for manual payments.
