Integrating Vento with the Adyen payment terminal significantly simplifies and speeds up the payment process. Manual entry is eliminated (almost), and the risk of errors is minimized. In addition, you have full control over card payments thanks to the clear interface of the Adyen portal.
What do we need from you? |
We will take care of integrating Vento with the Adyen terminal for you. All you need to do is fill out the questionnaire sent to you by your sales representative.
What will we set up for you? |
We will create two new payment types for you in Vento: Adyen Terminal and Adyen Terminal – Manual.
You can edit their settings via Settings > Payment Methods.
We recommend verifying the setup of these new payment types with your accounting department to ensure proper integration with your accounting software.

Sending payments from Vento to the Adyen terminal is simple and works the same way you're already used to.
Each Vento POS terminal (register) can send payments to one specific Adyen payment terminal. We will configure this for you based on the completed questionnaire. If anything needs clarification or fine-tuning, we’ll get in touch with you.
In the Vento POS app, simply select the payment type we configured for you when settling the bill.
Then the payment amount is sent to the Adyen terminal, and you can enter a tip (we'll set this up for you according to the questionnaire).
After selecting the tip, you proceed to the actual payment. You can tap, swipe, or insert the card into the terminal.
After a successful transaction, a receipt will be printed for the customer (and optionally for the merchant – again, we’ll configure this according to the questionnaire).
All payments processed via the Adyen terminal include a variable symbol in Vento that matches the PSP reference value in the Adyen portal (just like in HotelTime). This allows you to perform precise 1:1 payment reconciliation.
Tip for payments via Adyen terminal:
If the guest entered a tip during the transaction, that amount will automatically appear in the list of payments in Vento (Reporting – Payment List). You can then track tips separately there.
Manual card payment:
In some cases, it may be necessary to process a manual card payment directly on the Adyen terminal:
On the main screen, select Payment.
Enter the amount and confirm the transaction.
This transaction will not be recorded in Vento. To settle the bill properly, we recommend using the manual payment type we've set up for you – Adyen Terminal – Manual.
