How it works
The staff simply selects cash payment at the POS, and the customer inserts their money into the machine. It accepts both coins and notes and automatically returns change. Each device is configured for one currency.

FAQ
The machine doesn’t return money if a bill is voided or the payment type is changed
– Once a bill is closed with the Albacon machine, it won’t refund cash. Staff can resolve this by posting a negative recipe.
The machine doesn’t have enough cash to give change
– The POS will display “Insufficient funds for change”. The bill will still close, and staff need to give the difference manually (e.g. from a backup till). We recommend regular cash level checks – Albacon provides an app showing the status of coins and notes.
A customer inserts several banknotes at once
– No problem. If one is damaged or unreadable, the machine will return it and wait for the rest.
Albacon payment isn’t available for split payments
– Currently, payments through the machine can’t be combined with other payment methods.
A customer inserts a counterfeit or foreign coin
– Invalid coins are automatically rejected. Valid coins are accepted, and any overpayment is returned.
Currency mismatch error
– Each Albacon machine supports one currency. The currency set in the machine and the Payment Type in Vento must match. If they don’t, the POS will show “Invalid configuration: mismatched currencies”.
The “Notes” or “Coins” light is flashing
– Please contact Albacon technical support.
Tips aren’t supported through the machine – but don’t worry…
– Vento currently can’t send a tip to the machine after closing a bill. Guests can still hand over a tip directly to staff, or staff can add it as a separate item before closing the bill.
