For the correct and stable operation of Adyen payment terminals in HotelTime and Vento, we strongly recommend using a high-quality and stable Wi-Fi network as the primary connection. The recommended technical parameters for the Wi-Fi connection are listed in the appendix to this guide.

Adyen S1F2 terminals have a built-in SIM card and support mobile data connection. However, this should primarily serve as a backup solution. Its main purpose is to help maintain terminal operation in situations where there is an outage or temporary issue with the Wi-Fi connection. We therefore do not recommend using mobile data as the main long-term connection method for the terminal.

If the terminal is operated primarily via mobile data, connection stability may depend on signal quality, mobile network load, coverage in the specific part of the premises, or other factors. In such cases, outages, slower response times, or issues with payment processing may occur.

For these reasons, we recommend that terminals are always connected to a suitable Wi-Fi network and that mobile data connection is used only as a backup. When a terminal is operated long-term using mobile data only, resolving any potential outages may therefore be significantly more complicated.
